Case Study 1
Person A needed a bone density investigation to understand why bones had fractured without warning.
It would have taken months for this investigation to be arranged via the NHS, so we were pleased to be able to grant the money for Person A to arrange this privately.
Case Study 2
Person B needed an assessment for dyslexia which costs £700 and is not routinely funded via education or the NHS.
We provided a grant for the assessment to be carried out, which in turn enabled person B to receive additional support and equipment within college and employment.
Case Study 3
Person C, an older person with limited mobility and visual impairment, applied to the Trust for funding for a voice-controlled device to enable communication, assistance tools and digital library services.
We were happy to make this grant in order to reduce social isolation and support his ongoing mental wellbeing.
